Today, a precondition for well-being and good appearance is a developed and proportional body. Many consider this an unachievable target. People wanting a smoother or more proportional body can undergo fat suction and body modelling. This is not a weight-loss method, as the amount of removed fat tissue is relatively small.
Fat suction (liposculpture) surgery
Procedure: during the liposculpture procedure the body shape is improved by removing excess fat with the help of a tube and a vacuum device. The most popular places for suction are the chin, cheeks, neck, upper arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, knees, calves and ankles.
Duration of the surgery: 1 to 2 hours or more.
Anaesthesia: local, epidural or general.
Treatment: usually in an out-patient setting, if an extensive procedure is performed a short hospital treatment may be necessary.
Convalescence: for 2 to 3 weeks after the liposuction surgery a tight, elastic closing may be necessary to reduce oedema, bruises and prevent the occurrence of uneven skin. Some days after liposculpture surgery some discomfort and slight burning pain can be felt in the operated place. Return to work is possible after 1 to 2 weeks, larger physical loads can be restarted after 2 to 4 weeks, oedema and bruises disappear within 1 to 6 months.
Results: liposuction improves the shape of your body. The effect is permanent if you observe a balanced diet and perform regular exercises.
