Foreign visitors

The Microsurgery Centre is one of the largest plastic surgery clinics in the Baltic States, offering aesthetic, reconstructive and hand surgery services. Every year, dozens of foreign patients choose Microsurgery Centre to recover their health and beauty. However, before going to Latvia, overseas visitors who want to carry out a medical procedure in Microsurgery Centre should prepare for this event within their country of origin:

  1. When contacting to the Microsurgery Centre, patients are required to specify the exact date on which they scheduled arrival to Latvia as well as indicate the proposed length of stay in order to timely schedule a consultation before surgery;
  2. You need to indicate the desired surgery in order to schedule when it will be carried out, schedule period of time before and after the surgery, as well as identify some necessary additional tests;
  3. Patients younger than 40 years who have to carry out surgery under local anesthetic, need to do a complete blood count, urinalysis, and specify the blood type;
  4. Patients older than 40 years who have to carry out surgery under local anesthetic, need to do a complete blood count, urinalysis, specify the blood type, have an ECG, biochemistry (ALAT, ASAT, bilirubin, Na, K);
  5. Patients who have to carry out surgery under general anesthesia need to do a complete blood count, urinalysis, specify the blood type, have an ECG, biochemistry (ALAT, ASAT, bilirubin, Na, K) as well as have a consultation with an anesthesiologist, who may appoint for additional tests;
  6. When making the analysis at your country, there must be an indication that they are valid for 10-14 days and that they may be carried out abroad;
  7. Before coming to Latvia, it is advisable to send your photos to your doctor on his or hers work e-mail. You can find all e-mails on doctor’s profiles here.

Consultations with doctors are taking place at Microsurgery Centre, Brivibas gatve 410, Riga, 2nd floor (entrance from the yard, door code: 2 and bell symbol). You can go to the clinic by the following public transportation: tram – 3, 6, bus – 1, 14, 40, minibuss – 203, 206. You need to get out at stop "Mārkalnes iela".

Surgeries are carried out in Riga East Clinical University Hospital, Hipokrata street 2, Riga, 3rd floor, department 20.
